Woo-Dig-It forgot to mention (I am one of the members) that we actually have an Native American on the team. He is not pictured but he was one of the first members. Shiva...he was able to shape change into his "spirit form". I did not get to play many games with Shiva as I was a late entry to the team...aka Marauder. Who is an American soldier with Alien Symbiotic living armor.

Hey Rav! Ravager forgot to mention that his character Marauder is the guidance counselor of the group. Don't let the giant gun, sharp blade, and mean look fool you. He's really just a warm and personable guy.

Just kidding. Marauder ROCKS! He's an awesome character with alot of history. He's takin' care of more supervillians than, than.....than something that else that has takin' care of a bunch!

For the record, his version of "late entry to the team" is actually about January 1996, less than one year after the team formed. Almost 12 years ago. Don't let him fool ya. Wow, Rav, we're getting too old for this stuff.

The Guardians pictured are bottom left to right: Lan Fear (w/ pistols), Chomp, Marauder, Pulverizer (blue), Centennial, Brainstorm, Stoney, and Jake Rider. Airborne left to right are: Noble of Careon, Vanish, and The Face. The Guardians are a modern day super hero RPG team created by my freinds and I. Thuddleston did us the honor of professionally drawing our classic characters. Thanks! We started playing the Guardians way back in the 90's starting to adventure from the Guardians Mansion in New York City. The Guardians thwarted villain after villian and saving innocent life after innocent life, with fun character driven stories. In their history they have saved New York City, The United States, the World, the Galaxy, and even all dimensional realities of existence, many times over. We've just got some good friends creating cool characters and now we have Thuddleston doing some awesome drawings for us. He's doing a grrrrreat job, I highly reccommend him!

Great art, but for a group of international superheroes, they do not look very multi-ethnic.

To be honest, when we made the characters (years ago), the team originally started adventuring in NYC, like many comics, and since we've had over 141 different adventures with these RPG characters, we have often branched out the stories to saving cities, the entire United States, other countries, the galaxy, and even alternate dimensions. One of my friends who designed the shields put "World Guardians" because the characters had grown to larger scope of ideals. So, no they weren't originally designed as a United Nations "Stormwatch" type team, but they have been around the planet and off planet. They are a private team, no official government sanctions, but they have been allied many times. That's a good observation, I never thought of that before.

"sorry" not necessary. That's a good idea to spice it up with some diverse nationalities, kinda like Star Trek. Cool. We do have 2 aliens and an android on the pic to start I guess......

I have a group composed of two African Americans, a Cuban, a Filipina, a Gypsy, a Native American, and a Brazilian. Albeit, I never been exposed to people of most these ethnic group, the challenge is to just represent them as people.
Every nation beleives in justice, it is politics that often gets in the way.
